Usluga PDR
PDR (Paintless dent repair) technique was invented by Oscar Flaig in February 1960 in New York as an employee of Mercedes. A few years later (1972) the PDR technique was introduced in Argentina, followed by Australia in 1978, North America in 1986 and Mexico in 1994.
PDR describes a method of removing dents from cars. This method covers a wider spectrum of damage that can be repaired without painting. It can be applied to tin and aluminum car body parts and motorcycle fuel tanks. The most common use of the PDR technique is for hail damage, knocks on the door, and larger and smaller dents caused by other factors. The success of the PDR repair also depends on the flexibility of the painted surface, the stretching of the damage and the structure of the metal.
With the PDR technique, it is possible to repair larger damages as long as the paint on the damaged area has not cracked.
In the case when the damaged part of the bodywork has been treated with varnish several times, it may crack. As a solution, the damaged part can be prepared for painting.
The repair is carried out by accessing the damaged parts after dismantling the lining from the inside of the vehicle. Damages are repaired by light pressure with the lever system. If the damage cannot be accessed from the inside, special glue and pullers are used and the repair is done from the outside of the damage. During the repair, a special LED lighting is used, which enables precise detection of damage and perfection during the repair, which means that the vehicle will be returned to its original state without a new paint job.
The time period for vehicle repair depends on the degree of damage. For minor damage, the repair is completed in a few hours, while for major damage (if it is hail damage), it takes from one to three days.
